My interest in hammered coins is only peripheral to my specialization in ancient coins but Timothy's site is well designed and contains several interesting coins, so I consider the awards he has won as being well deserved. Now just imagine, if he had tons of money, what would his collction look like.

Great to find such a top website. It is terrific to see someone's actual collection laid out.
Have been collecting Anglo-Saxon & hammered coins since 1970 when it was impossible to find them at all in Australia. My items pale into insignificance compared with yours.
Most of mine, I bought from Seaby's. Later, some became available in Melbourne and Sydney. I have put them away and not looked at them for quite a few years, but I've decided to continue looking for those odd few bargains - (not many though!)
There are so many great pennies from the Anglo Saxon period I can only look at in envy and like so many other collectors, will never own.
Anyway - thank you for a great website ... well done...

This is a great website for your virtual collection.
It inspires me to do the same, except I am not so adept at creating a website or webpages. What software have you used?
We have some mutual areas of collecting interest and I have found myself bidding against you in the past.
Whilst I do have an interest that co-incide with much of yours you will be pleased to hear my main emphasis now has shifted away to other areas, ie Scottish - all Scottish coins up to 1707.
I am fortunate to live in Cambridge UK..... you have probably heard of the Philip Grierson Collection which has recently been bequeathed to the Fitzwilliam Museum, here in Cambridge. He collected during and after the World War II when many people were anxious to get cash for their valuables.
Good luck with your collection and its expansion.
